SendSafely has launched a new Security Group permission that limits access to sending outbound files. This new feature allows organizations to restrict users who are intended to use SendSafely strictly for inbound-only workflows.
For many organizations, especially those operating support teams, utilizing Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) agents, or performing KYC operations, receiving and handling inbound data is the norm. Agents are required to receive sensitive documents from customers or partners, but should not be able to exfiltrate data externally. Our new Security Group permission helps enforce that boundary at the platform level.
The Send Security Group permission:
- Prevents data leakage by disabling all outbound file sharing options.
- Simplifies compliance for regulated industries where certain users must remain inbound-only.
- Applies universally across SendSafely integrations, including Zendesk, Freshdesk, Salesforce, Slack, Outlook, and Gmail.
To configure a Security Group that limits the ability to send outbound, contact our support team to establish the group name and permissions per your organization’s specifications. Once the group is set up, any Admin in your SendSafely portal can add and remove users from the Security Groups section of the SendSafely Admin Console.
For full protection against outbound sends, organizations should combine this new restriction with restricted access to Workspaces, ensuring that users are truly limited to receiving only across all SendSafely features.
The new Send Security Group permission provides organizations with an easy, consistent way to enforce inbound-only workflows across all SendSafely features.
