Version 1.9 of the SendSafely Salesforce app can be used with any Salesforce object, including custom objects, in addition to Service Cloud case records. This expanded coverage provides more flexibility and options for securely handling sensitive documents, regardless of how you use Salesforce.
Our updated app supports two modes when installed on a Salesforce record page:
- Same Record Mode: The app will display files from SendSafely links posted to a specified field on that same record.
- Child Record Mode: The app will display files from SendSafely links posted to a specified field on all related child records.
Salesforce users can securely view and download inbound documents on non-case objects just like they would if using Service Cloud.
Note: No changes have been made to the existing inbound and outbound functionality when the app is installed on a Service Cloud case record. The ability to send outbound files from non-case objects using SendSafely is planned as a future enhancement.
