Our Dropzone integration for Zendesk can automatically route submissions to different Dropzones based on customer or organizational tags. Whether for regulatory compliance or just to isolate which internal teams can access incoming files, using tags can help you streamline workflows and ensure only the right people have access to the right files.
How it works
Using tags is simple and requires minimal configuration.
- Configure SendSafely Dropzones: Create dedicated SendSafely Dropzones, which will receive submissions from specific customers. For example if you have multiple SendSafely portals in different regions, you can have a US Dropzone and an EU Dropzone.
- Assign Zendesk Tags: In your Zendesk environment, apply the corresponding tags to individual users or organizations. For example, you can tag US customers with "US_Customer" and EU customers with "EU_Customer."
- Add Dropzone Routing Logic: By making a small Javascript update to your Zendesk Help Center template, the code will automatically detect the regional tag associated with a logged-in user and route their submission to the correct SendSafely Dropzone.
Once configured, ticket attachments from any tagged customer will be automatically routed to the Dropzone associated with their regional tag. The same concept can also be used to route files to other Dropzones in the same region based on team or agent data isolation requirements.
