Our Universal Chatbot Connector is a platform-agnostic integration tool that embeds SendSafely's end-to-end encrypted secure file transfer capabilities into chatbot conversations. It bridges SendSafely's encrypted Dropzone technology with any chatbot platform that meets basic technical requirements. This means AI agents can request and collect sensitive data, and then either hand off sensitive file uploads to a human agent, or process through other automated workflows.

When to use the Universal Chatbot connector

  • No pre-built SendSafely Integration
    When your chatbot platform doesn't have a pre-built SendSafely integration, the universal connector provides a standardized way to add secure file transfer capabilities. (SendSafely has native integrations for human-free, secure data collection for Intercom, Zendesk and, coming soon, Salesforce.)
  • AI Agent Workflows
    The universal connector is particularly well-suited for AI-driven conversational flows that require secure document collection, like loan applications, insurance claims, or requests for medical information. 
  • Human Agent Chats
    The universal connector may support human agent chat workflows, depending on your specific platform's technical capabilities for variable storage and API access. 

 

Technical Requirements

For successful implementation, your chatbot platform must have three essential capabilities:

1. API Integration
Ability to make API calls from within an active chat session
 
2. Variable storage
Capability to store session variables during conversation
 
3. Dynamic Updates
Ability to update conversations with API data

Additionally, you'll need AWS permissions to deploy necessary resources including Lambda Functions, DynamoDB, SNS, API Gateway, Secrets Manager, and IAM roles
